Georgia Man Found Dead After Going Missing on Louisiana Business Trip

Baton Rouge,[0] The remains of a man from Georgia, who had gone missing during a business trip to Louisiana, have been discovered.[1] Nathan Millard, 42, was last seen at Happy’s Irish Pub after attending a Louisiana State University basketball game with a client on Feb. 23.[2]

Millard was the father of two sons, a stepfather to two teenagers, and had a 7-year-old daughter.[3] The last sighting of him was of him wearing a green hat, a black shirt, and blue jeans.[4] He is 5'9″ in height and around 180 lbs in weight.[5]

Millard had flown into Baton Rouge from Atlanta on Feb. 22 for a short business trip.[6] He, an employee of Advanced Construction in Conyers, Georgia, was planning to visit a client's job site.[7]

Millard and his client began their trip by attending a basketball game, afterwards they went to a pub in downtown. At 11:30 p.m. they said their goodbyes and Millard set off on foot to his hotel, The Advocate reported.[8]

Millard failed to attend a 8 a.m. meeting at the client's job site the day following his last sighting. At 9 a.m., the client went to the Baton Rouge Police to file a missing person's report after inquiring with the hotel staff about Millard and discovering that the room seemed to have not been used for sleeping, according to Amber Millard.

Texas EquuSearch, a Houston-based organization that assists in locating missing persons, announced that Millard had been located approximately three miles from Happy's Irish Pub, where he was noticed for the last time on February 22.[9] It was reported that his wallet and phone were discovered a few blocks from the hotel.[10]

Millard's wife reported that surveillance footage depicted an unknown individual making use of her husband's debit card. Still reported that the Baton Rouge police had revealed to Millard's wife video evidence of someone employing his credit card, and had informed her that it had been utilized multiple times since Millard vanished.

The cause of death is yet to be determined, according to the police, pending a report from the coroner's office.[11] The inquiry into the incident is still in progress, and more information will be shared when it becomes available, the declaration noted.[8]
