    "He was a personal
    mentor to me.
    He's  simply the
    best."

    Katie Couric --
    CBS News

    "His stable of sources
    inside the offices of the
    CIA, the corridors of the
    Pentagon and the halls of
    the National Security
    Council are legend."

    "Often, when he was
    about to break a major
story, I would quiz him  on
    his primary source.
    'Golden' was always his
    answer. And it was
    always true."

    Tim Russert - -
    NBC News
Fred Francis, who has covered every major war worldwide for the network and who spent eight years as Pentagon
correspondent, today lectures on media relations, crisis communications and offers media training for individuals
and large corporations.

He has lectured and offered media training to senior US Government executives and top military leaders as part of
the National Security Studies program at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School.

No assignment is too daunting for Francis. As an example of his persistence to succeed, in January 2003, as the
US was preparing for war in Iraq, covertly sending CIA teams and Special Forces into that country, NBC News
asked Francis to find a way in, too. His team infiltrated into Iraq and set up an operational news team eleven miles
from the Iraqi front line two months before other reporters and US Forces arrived. His stellar reputation earned
him the Distinguished Service Award from the Military Officers Association of America.

Working as a strategic communications consultant to NASA, Francis provided key advice and planning for its top
executives leading up to the return of flight of the space shuttle Columbia.

In 2005, Francis was the principle leader and writer of a team at Louisiana State University, completely re-
organizing the school's communications office.

In 2007, Francis traveled around the world providing crisis communications training for over one thousand
managers of a major hotel corporation.

Additional Comments About Fred Francis:

"He is, without question, an exemplar in his field.  Mr Francis was always
among the highest rated speakers in every program. (In military groups)
it was noteworthy that a journalist was so highly rated."

SEAN O'KEEFE - FORMER NASA ADMINISTRATOR AND NAVY SECRETARY

"Feedback from Fred's talks is by far the best we have ever received."

DR. IRWIN REDLENER, ASSOCIATE DEAN, COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY

"Mr. Francis was much more than a raconteur with entertaining anecdotes to share. His
presentation offered years of experience and wisdom. The Council of Foreign Relations was
honored by his presence."

DAVID PHILLIPS, COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS

"Fred Francis always ranks in the highest percentile on the basis of delivery, content and impact.
He is an extraordinary talent that deserves to be heard."

F. WILLIAM SMULLEN - DIR, SYRACUSE UNIV, NATIONAL SECURITY STUDY PROGRAMS
